FUE Haartransplantation
Possible risks of a transplant

Advice and transparency about possible risks is our top priority.

Every intervention involves risks. Even if the hair transplant only takes place in the uppermost layers of the skin, so deep injuries are excluded, information about risks and side effects will come first.

We therefore ask about your (previous) illnesses, habits, possible allergies and peculiarities that you may have experienced at the dentist or other previous treatments with a doctor in the medical consultation. This then results in the assessment of your specific risk, which will be explained to you in detail in the personal consultation. If you wish, you can take a copy of all the details discussed home with you.

Is the hair transplant painful?

At the beginning of the treatment, a local anesthetic (duration approx. 30 seconds) takes place, similar to the dentist. Therefore the treatment is absolutely painless.

Is my remaining hair sufficient?

The existing donor hair from the hairline is redistributed so that an aesthetically good result is achieved. It is astonishing that a good result can be achieved even with a small donor area (small fringe of hair). The hair density in the donor area is analyzed before the treatment in order to allow conclusions to be drawn about the donor potential and further treatments.

Will I have pain after the treatment?

Every person's perception of pain is different. In general, minor wound pain can occur in the area of the removal region during the first night. You will be provided with effective medication that you can take if you need to.

How long does a hair transplant take?

The course of treatment depends on the size of the bald spot. The collection usually takes approx. 30-60 minutes, the total intervention time is approx. 4 - 9 hours depending on the number of grafts to be transplanted.

Why doesn't the transplanted hair fall out again?

The hair root does not lose its genetic information. Since the hair growth from the "wreath area" on the back of the head, i.e. the removal area, is secured for a lifetime, the hair redistributed from here also grows for a lifetime.

Does it happen that the transplanted hair does not grow?

No, the only requirement is a healthy scalp. In addition, the surgeon and the team must not damage or even destroy the hair roots during the transplant. Appropriate experience of the team is necessary.

From what age can I get the treatment?

There is no age limit, but caution is advised in very young male patients between 17 and 23 years of age, as the further development of the hair loss may not yet be foreseeable here and incorrect expectations can affect the feasibility. The medical advice of the clinics clarifies whether a hair transplant is an option to solve the respective hair problem.

Does the hair transplant result look natural?

The consideration of the natural hair grouping and the microsurgical techniques guarantee the natural character of the result. In addition, the feather zone (hairline area) is specially designed to be natural.

When will I be able to work or socialize again after a hair transplant?

From a medical point of view, you are socially acceptable and able to work the day after the operation. However, it makes sense to take physical rest for a few days. How often can I get treatment?

This depends on the size of the surgery and the elasticity of the scalp. Usually one treatment is enough for a permanent result. Care is taken to ensure that the donor hair is handled very efficiently, so that in exceptional cases (in the case of rapidly progressive hair loss) a second or third treatment can be made possible.

Can friends or relatives donate their hair roots to me?

Theoretically yes, but it is always foreign objekt. The body will try to push it off. To prevent this, one would have to take medication with significant side effects for a lifetime.
